Info: I adore Akihabara maids and wanted to make my own design of one. This costume was actually decided on a whim, based on the wig alone — it just screamed cuteness! Over the course of one weekend, I came up with a rough idea of what I wanted my costume to look like. The ending result turned out a bit differently since I kept changing the design, but I loved having the freedom to do so. Of all the “research” I did for this costume, it was mainly inspired by the looks of the H-game Dream Party and the brand “Candy Fruit.”

I knew I wanted to be a pink maid, and was trying to keep this costume on a budget. I had some unused casa crepe in my fabric box and decided to use that to save money. The entire dress is fully lined. Patterns I used were from a classic circle skirt, and a heavily modified version of a princess-seamed dress. The rest of the costume came together gradually. The following maid/”moe” elements were used in the design:
