Info: This is my baby. I adore Louise so much and really wanted to make this outfit, because it’s my favorite scene in the entire series. I had this costume planned for about 2 years, and finally made my dream gown in 2009.

I made everything except the hoop skirt, and used historical patterns for the main garments. The skirts had French seams and blind stitch hems. The bodice alone took about 20 hours total. It’s fully lined (in pink!!!) and boned, laces up in the back. All the ruffles were gathered & stitched by hand, which took FOREVER but was worth the clean look. I chose bridal satin over casa satin because it’s higher quality, and only the BEST for Louise. The crepon sheer is a little extra touch to give the flat, white fabric more depth. Gold accessories are craft foam with self-casted gems. Wig is styled with a ponytail and secured with a claw clip. Although you can’t really see them, I also wear pink pumps with this ♥
